The H-index, which is frequently used to evaluate a researcher’s productivity and citation impact, is one indicator that increasingly represents scholarly credibility and influence.
Jorge E. Hirsch developed the H-index, which counts the number of publications as well as the citations. When it comes to editorial leadership, the H-index shows how strong an editor’s academic background and their level of research involvement. Strong H-index editors frequently have extensive knowledge of new scientific developments and profound domain expertise. The importance was given n the medical sciences, where interdisciplinary research, regulatory compliance, and translational applications are crucial.
